I am thrilled and honored to serve as the Assistant Principal at YIS this upcoming school year. I look forward to meeting each student and family as we begin this new school year! Building positive relationships with students, families, and staff is one of the most rewarding parts of my work.
I earned my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Cedarville University and began my teaching career teaching first, third, and fourth grade. After several years in the classroom, I earned my master's degree in Educational Leadership from Aurora University. Most recently, I served as an Assistant Principal in Rockford, Illinois, for the past two years. These experiences have strengthened my passion for supporting students, empowering teachers, and creating a positive learning environment for every student.
My family and I live in Yorkville, where our youngest daughter attends Yorkville schools, and our oldest daughter is preparing to begin college this fall! Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family, whether we are riding bikes, visiting local parks, or planting flowers together.
I am excited for this opportunity to partner with our students, families and staff here at YIS! I look forward to an amazing school year!
Go Foxes!
Thank you,
Kristina
